APWH prepared me for success!

PURPOSE :

The purpose of my portfolio is to give clear evidence of my knowledge and understanding of the class throughout the school year. As well as being able to reflect on the material that we learned and the unforgettable experience that we created.

QUOTE

"All things are possible, if you just believe"

ABOUT ME:

My name is Aloma Munguia and I am currently sophomore, soon to become a junior at Southwest High School. I was born in Laguna Hills California and have been raised by the two most important people in my life, my parents. I consider myself fortunate to be blessed for all of their profound love and support in every step of the way. Moreover, beginning at the age of three I developed an  an ongoing passion for dance, and up till the present day that desire continues to grow. For the past thirteen years of my life I have given my heart and soul into dance and have learned how to balance my time between school and my extracurricular activities. It has not been an easy task, and now that I have grown older it has become a struggle because I have more responsibilities and my academic work requires more time. However, even after endless nights of hardly any sleep and sacrifice I have been able to sprint from the after school study sessions and into my dance classes. Overall, AP World History has become a powerful achievement that has given me all the tools needed for me to tear down any obstacles I might face, but most importantly a wider panorama into the direct path of success to become an overachiever.

POEM:

AP World History, just the name itself seemed to frightening

All these "what if's? " are what stroke my mind

What if I don't understand, because I have no helping hand?

What if I bail because of my fail?

What if I simply can't?

All these voices drowned and clustered my mind, they all hollered at once

It's too hard!

But even after all those innumerable doubts, and nights of disappointment

I overcame that challenge and broke that fear of the "what if ?"

And instead brought out the I can !
